Whether it's a gathering at the park, a visit to a doggie friend's house, or even an on-leash greeting; whether they're old or young, boy or girl, small or tall, Petey has a fantastic ability to make doggie friends. He'll gladly romp and run with another playful dog, but if a dog is calm or older he'll match that dog's energy. He lives happily with an older dog and had a great time living with another young, playful foster dog as well. He does get a little too excited about squirrels, cats and other small animals to live with them. <br/><br/>At home, Petey is happy to lounge around cuddled close to his human or stretched out in a sunbeam for a nap. Petey likes his crate, but he doesn't need it as he is fully housetrained and past the destructive chewing stage.<br/><br/>Petey gets excited when he sees another dog during a walk, but forgets all about that dog as soon as he is offered a treat. He can be anxious upon meeting new humans, so is working on learning that new people are nothing to worry about and are also associated with really good treats. Petey would love to find an active home with humans and ideally another dog or two to play with and keep him company.<br/><br/>"It is just so great to have a dog who can be trusted around just about any other dog," says his foster mom.
