Petey's Story

Petey is a six month old Retriever mix that has never met a stranger! He loves attention and playful outings with other dogs and his family! Petey is potty trained, does great on a leash, knows sit, down and stay and has that wonderful head start to making him a great well-rounded adult! He will be medium size when grown and has a wonderful, happy, playful personality that longs to be a part of a family! His coat is a gorgeous fawn color with white accents, he's incredibly handsome! Blue Ridge Animal Rescue & Sanctuary's Adoption Policy

All prospective animals ready for adoption begin with an application filled out by a prospective adopter. Taking into account the animal's specific needs, applications are taken in the order they are received to match appropriate families with the needs of that specific animal. Once an approval is made and the potential adopter contacted, a meet and greet with the entire family and, if possible, includes the adopters current animals as well. If the meet and greet goes well the animal may go home with that potential adopter.
