Peter Pan's Story

Peter Pan was with his family all these years but at the age of 9, his family felt they could no longer take care of him. Peter is a good boy but definitely overweight. That is not Peter Pan's fault and we did put him on a diet. He has already lost about 6 pounds already. He does love to go for walks. He likes to go a few miles a day. We did notice him chewing on his front paws and he ended up having a small abscess that was taken care of but the vet put him on allergy meds to be cautious. He loves to go to the parks and check out all the smells. He is slightly slow to warm towards men, but does open up with a short time. He does have a touch of separation anxiety but it does seem to get better with time. He would do better with a family that is home more or retired. His separation anxiety has greatly improved and will do well the longer he is in a stable home.

Adoption fee is 150 which helps cover all of the medical for all of the dogs in the rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and many have received further treatment for such conditions as lump removal, severe ear infections, dental cleanings, bloodwork, leg injuries, etc..

We do out of state adoptions but require a submitted application, a home visit (sometimes we cannot get this done and then we can not adopt), and the adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the potential dog(s), possibly adopt, and then drive the dog back.

Disclaimer: The SNBRF has the right to deny applications based on our adoption policies established for the consideration of the health, safety, and well-being of the dog. Beagles can have a lifespan of 15-18 years. Therefore, beagles or any other breed who are under 3 years of age will NOT be adopted to anyone over the age of 62. For individuals who are 70 years of age and older, the dogs must be 8 years or olde
For more information or to submit an adoption application, please visit our website at http://www.southernnevadabeaglerescue.com .
