Peter's Story

✨ Meet Peter - a Truly Charming Little Gentleman! ✨
Peter is a 10-year-old, 14.4-pound poodle mix with a soft white coat and a sweet, gentle spirit. He'll need regular brushing and grooming to keep him looking his best.

After getting some medical needs cared for by our vets, he's feeling great. He does have a grade 2 heart murmur and takes two daily medications that have almost completely stopped his coughing. He'll likely need these meds long-term but is doing wonderfully on them.

He can be a bit nervous at first, but in your arms he melts--nuzzling, burrowing, and giving the softest little kisses. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and fully trustworthy in the home. He's not a big barker, though he will bark if left crated for too long, so a home where he doesn't need frequent crating is best.

Peter loves snuggling up with his people and sleeping by their side. He gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes. Because of his age, he'll do best in a home with older, gentle children.

His ideal home has:
* A yard to explore
* Owners who work from home, can take him along, or are retired
* Lots of patience, comfort, and love

Peter came to CAWS when his previous family had to leave the country to care for ill relatives. Now he's ready for the safe, loving forever home he truly deserves.

Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $100.
