He absolutely loves playing on our doggie playground, zooming around the yard, and making new dog friends along the way. Peter has a silly, entertaining side that will keep you laughing, but he also lives to enjoy some good pets after a busy play session.<br/><br/>He would do best in an active family with a fenced yard—somewhere he can explore, play, and go on adventures, then come home to relax with the people he loves. Goofy, sweet, and full of heart, Peter is the kind of pup who brings joy wherever he goes.<br/><br/>Could Peter be the new furry member of your family? Come meet him and see for yourself—he’s ready to steal your heart!<br/><br/>Peter is a 1 year old lab/pit mix and he weighs 57 lbs. <br/> <br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A PET<br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>FOSTERING<br/>Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives? Consider fostering by filling out our foster application at https://www.kckpd.org/Animal-Services/Foster-a-Pet. All supplies are provided.
