Peter's Story

Peter is a sweet shepherd mix puppy who was found abandoned in a school yard in Puerto Rico with his siblings. Now safe in a loving foster home in New Jersey, he’s learning all about life as a family dog. At about 3.5 months old and 10 pounds, Peter is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog. He’s playful, affectionate, and full of personality. Peter loves his cuddles and is known for greeting his foster family with big stretches and even bigger hugs. From his foster: “Peter is full of life and personality. He’s already learned that using the pee pad earns him a treat — and he’s pretty proud of himself! He has lots of puppy energy and would thrive in a home with space to play, go for walks, and burn off that energy. He’s wonderful with my cat and is also a total snuggle bug who loves to curl up in my lap.” Peter is doing great in foster care and is ready to find a family to grow up with.
