PETE's Story
Pete has spent at least a quarter of his life on the run after being abandoned by his previous owner. Thankfully the weeks to months he was dodging traffic and mean humans and scary wildlife, he did not succumb to the hit by car trauma, the tainted food, and the stalking coyotes that all tried to cut his life too short. He covered many miles in his travels but was finally able to be trapped in a large open field and once he got to know a few nice humans, he has realized we aren’t so bad after all. Before he was trapped however, Pete sustained a badly broken leg which has since been repaired by our orthopedic surgeon and each day he becomes more willing to use that leg again … never fear though, he does just fine on his three legs including being able to jump up on the bed without any assistance. He loves other dogs, is always ready to eat, is an avid chewer of nylabones and is housebroken and crate trained, although he is not the biggest fan of being in a crate but has learned to tolerate it. We think Pete is a mix of a mix of a mix but do suspect some shepherd genetics in there. He is estimated to be 9-10months and a filling out 30lbs. Adoption fee $300

If you would like to meet PETE please complete an application for adoption, copy and paste this link into your browser

https://fs17.formsite.com/adoptionscc/form1/index

Any vaccinations/boosters due after adoption is finalized will be the new owner's responsibility. All animals are current at time of adoption but in some cases a booster series is required or a vaccine cannot be given due to age and cannot be completed prior to adoption

Our adoptable animals come to us from various sources, the most common being from an animal shelter who is unable to handle their physical or mental needs in the shelter setting but believe with the appropriate care, they can become adoptable.
