Hi, my name is Pete! I'm a 4-year-old Beagle mix weighing 41 pounds, but if you really get to know me, you'll quickly understand why they call me Sweet Pete! <br/><br/>I may be 4 years old, but once I get going, I have a whole lot of energy and act just like a pup! I'm almost completely house trained, but I may need a little patience and encouragement as I continue learning. I came from a not so good situation but I am learning to trust my humans. I just need some time! <br/><br/>With lots of positive encouragement, I'm learning that my crate can be a cozy place to sleep. I'm also used to having someone around during the day since one of my humans works from home and was able to let me out regularly.<br/><br/>I absolutely love playing with other dogs and would be happy to have some furry friends! Because of my energy and the things I'm still learning, a home with small children may not be the best fit for me. I could also use a little help with my leash manners, but I'm a smart guy and eager to learn!<br/><br/>I already know tricks like sit, and if you have a treat in your hand, I'm working really hard on mastering lay down! I am up to date on my vaccines and neutered!<br/><br/>I'm looking for someone who will be patient with me, encourage me, and help me work through the things I'm still learning.
