Percy's Story

Meet Percy! He's about 2 years old, 62 lbs., possibly a Lab/Pittie mix. This handsome guy likes to show off his shiny coat. He is human, dog and cat friendly and passed his crate test. He got a little field trip & this is
what the handler had to say. “The first time Percy loaded into the truck bed, he jumped right out along the side before he was hooked up. The second load up time, Percy hooked up nicely and the rest of the day he loaded and walked straight to the line to hookup properly. He rides very well and just sets his head on the bed rail to take in the sights during travel time. Percy has a decent recall and I expect it will become even more consistent when he is bonded in a permanent home life. He has no interest in chasing birds and acted nonchalantly when a couple of ravens dive bombed his head while exploring at the park. Percy did extremely well meeting all dogs and humans respectfully and shows himself to be the type of dog that melts quickly when given petting, love and affection. He wants to meet all, but doesn’t pull too hard and is completely manageable with just little corrections to keep him next to his handler's side. He showed a lot of improvement on his leash manners today walking on a loose lead and most of his corrections were to keep him from marking territory, which he will on anything and everything if you allow him to. Percy displays zero aggression and only has love to give to anyone that is ready to receive it.”

Come check out our adoptable dogs at 2650 Washington Blvd, Crescent City, CA 95531.
