Peppy's Story

Peppy was turned into our rescue when his owner went into hospice care and the family could not care for him. He's a sweet, lovable boy. He loves being held and getting belly rubs. He's a cuddly lap dog that gives lots of kisses. Peppy is 11 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. He's very active for his age since he was well cared for by his previous owner. He gets along with other dogs. He is food aggressive, so has to be fed separately. He enjoys running around outside with other dogs. He will chase my cats once in awhile if they run, but mostly ignores them. Peppy does okay with older children who know how to treat an older, small dog. Peppy has been vaccinated, he's neutered, microchipped, is heartworm negative, and had a dental. He would be a wonderful new family member for anyone looking for a senior Pomeranian.

In order to adopt, you need to send an e-mail to rescue@secondchancepoms.org asking for an application. After you send this back, we will check references and someone will visit you in your home to discuss adoption. We ask a donation of $400 for adults, and $450 for puppies. This covers shots, spay/neuter, and any medical treatment when needed, such as de-worming, dental, heartworm treatment, and repairing broken bones. We do not ship our pomeranians, but an out-of-state adoption can still happen if the adopter comes to the Houston, TX area to pick up their pom.
