Peppy's Story

Peppy is a 1-year-old male Pit Bull–Husky mix with the soulful blue eyes of a Husky and the mellow, loving personality of a Pit Bull. He’s an absolute sweetheart who shows his affection with plenty of kisses and gentle companionship.

Peppy already has some great manners — he walks nicely on a leash and knows how to sit. He keeps his kennel clean and has been easy to care for while in our shelter. He’s also neutered and current on all vaccines, so he’s ready to head straight into a new home. He currently weighs 60.4 pounds.

Socially, Peppy has done wonderfully. He came to the shelter with a smaller dog he lived with and has met several other dogs here, doing great with all of them. He also met our resident cat, gave him a polite sniff, and walked away. While we think he could do well with cats, we can’t guarantee how he’d react to a cat that runs.

Peppy found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own — his owner had to move and couldn’t find housing that allowed him. Now he’s looking for a new family who will give him the stability and love he deserves.

If you’re looking for a sweet, calm, dog-friendly companion with stunning eyes and an even better heart, Peppy might be your perfect match.
