Peppercorn"Pepper"'s Story

"In Foster!"
Pepper is a beautiful 2.5-year-old mixed-breed female looking for an active, loving home where she can truly become part of the family. Her DNA results are attached for anyone curious about her mix.
Pepper's best quality is how deeply she loves her people. She is incredibly loyal, affectionate, and forms strong bonds with her family. She's happiest simply being included, whether that means going on an adventure, playing outside, or hanging out at home.
She is very smart, playful, athletic, and eager to learn. Pepper absolutely loves running and playing fetch. She would be an amazing companion for someone who enjoys hiking, running, long walks, outdoor adventures, or simply has a large fenced yard where she can play and burn off some energy.
Pepper has lived with children and other dogs and does great with both. She loves to play and gets along well with most dogs that match her energy.
Pepper has completed Top Gun dog training to work on leash reactivity and has made great progress. Her reactivity is specifically toward other dogs while she is on leash, so she would do best with someone who has experience with active or reactive dogs and is willing to continue reinforcing her training. She responds very well to consistency, structure, and an owner who understands her needs. She is not currently crate trained.
Pepper's ideal home would be with someone who wants a dog to truly be part of their life. She has so much love, personality, and loyalty to give and would thrive with an owner or family who can give her plenty of exercise, companionship, and attention. Apply at ghhs.org
