Pepper Jelly's Story

Pepper Jelly is a handsome little low-rider with short legs, a long body, and the most unique black-and-white markings that make him truly one of a kind. But as adorable as he is, it's his personality that really makes him special. He's a thoughtful, gentle puppy who might not be the very first to rush up to greet you-but give him a moment, and he'll happily lean in and ask to be picked up, ready to soak up all the love you have to give.

Pepper Jelly is incredibly affectionate in the sweetest way. He's more of a licker than a biter, and he loves spending time in your lap, checking in for cuddles before heading back off to play. He has a curious side too-he enjoys exploring (especially going up and down steps!) and is always quietly taking in the world around him. While he can be a little sensitive to loud noises, he balances that with a playful, well-adjusted nature. He loves romping with his siblings, did wonderfully with your dog, and has that perfect mix of gentle, loving, and playful that makes him an easy fit for so many homes.

The Short-Cuterie Board Litter is a perfectly mismatched sampler of sweetness, spunk, and scruffy charm. These six puppies are almost 3 months old and weigh between 5-9 pounds, with the boys on the larger side and the girls a bit more petite. Every one of them has their own unique look, but they all share a few adorable traits: short legs, long bodies, and irresistibly scruffy faces that make them look like tiny wise old souls in puppy form.

Breed? Your guess is as good as ours-and honestly, that's part of their magic. This is a true WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) litter: a delightful mystery mix that somehow landed on "absolutely adorable" every single time.

Despite their unknown origins, what is known is their journey. These puppies came into rescue needing everything-food, warmth, safety, and a fresh start. And they've taken full advantage of it. In just a short time, they've learned what it means to have full bellies, soft beds, a routine, and people who care about them.

Now? They're thriving. A few of their favorite things are stuffed toys, tug of war, and chasing balls or each other. They love to play, explore, snuggle, and follow you around like your newest little shadow. Whether they're tumbling over each other, discovering toys, or curling up for a nap, they bring a sense of joy and personality to everything.

Pepper Jelly is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $400.00.

To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home.
