Pepper Jack's Story

Pepper Jack wants that cheesy life - full of snuggles & soft blankets - with lots of love for you!

Pepper Jack is about 10 years old and weighs 66 lbs. He has a gorgeous light brindle coloring resembling Tony the Tiger-esque stripes - and yes he is Grrreat! Pepper Jack loves his treats and will quickly become your friend after just a couple! Pepper Jack is an affectionate and snuggly boy, who loves to take a nap with you and a blanket and other dog friends, too! Pepper Jack is ok with some dogs, but not all so proper intros and a "Meet & Greet" are musts. He tends to do better with more confident dogs and not submissive ones. Although he did well with cats at first, begins to pester them after awhile, so would do best without cats. He is so sweet with people, and as long as someone is just with him, he will happily occupy himself with a toy or chew. He is easy going to walk and does great in the car - ready for any adventure you want to take him on :)

Poor Pepper Jack - in the twilight of his life, he found himself abandoned outside of a police precinct in the big city. He was shipped off to the chaotic overcrowded shelter and due to his age, was put on the euthanasia list just a few short weeks later. Thankfully, Pepper Jack is now with a loving foster in Tolland County, CT. Transportation is provided for approved adopters.

Pepper Jack is fully vetted, negative for all tick borne diseases, micro chipped, and ready to go home with YOU!

If you can open your heart & home to dear Pepper Jack, please contact AmsterDog by call/text at 917-689-8414 or by email at info@amsterdog.org. Apply to foster or adopt Pepper Jack at AmsterDog.org.

Thanks for caring about a pet in need!
