Pepper's Story

Pepper is the kind of dog who makes you smile. She is fun, silly, curious and playful, but she also knows how to settle down and enjoy a quiet evening at home. She is ready for a family who wants a dog who can do a little bit of everything.

Pepper is approximately 1.5 to 2 years old, around 65 pounds, and believed to be a Black Mouth Cur mix. She loves exploring, playing, going for walks, riding in the car and getting in the water. She does well both on and off leash and enjoys being included in adventures.

At home, Pepper is surprisingly easy to live with. She is house trained, crate trained and non destructive. She sleeps peacefully in her crate all night and is perfectly happy entertaining herself when it is time to relax.

Pepper enjoys learning and has worked hard on becoming a confident, well rounded dog. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, so she does best with people who understand that relationships take a little time. Once she is comfortable, she is friendly, affectionate and happy to be part of the family.

She also enjoys other dogs and has done very well with appropriate playmates. She recently had a great time playing with two Golden Retrievers and showed us just how much fun she can have with canine friends.

Pepper is also wonderfully cooperative for the everyday things that come with having a dog. She does well with grooming, nail trims and routine veterinary care, making those less exciting parts of dog ownership much easier.

Pepper has a lot of personality packed into one dog. She is playful without being constantly on the go, curious without being destructive, and adventurous while still knowing how to settle. She is looking for a home where she can continue learning, have plenty of opportunities to explore, and most importantly, be part of the family.
