Pepper 's Story

It’s been a tough road for sweet Pepper in North Carolina. She had a rough start at a small underfunded NC shelter but a group of dedicated rescue ladies worked their butts off to help get her safe! All her medical care was donated & 3 weeks of board in NC to help give her the time needed to find a foster - foster-to-adopt. THAT’s allot of help for one pup! GFstrays is committed to finding Pepper her person. Pepper is a super smart sweet 2yo girl, approx. 55lbs, good with dogs, large or small - fully vetted - good in the home and crate trained. Potential adopters and foster-to-adopt persons will be contacted ASAP - we will respond to texts, direct phone calls & email inquiries. We do background checks and require personal references and Vet references as part of the adoption process. As part of the adopt/foster process a home check will be required as well as a photo ID. Preliminary jpgs of the home, other pets and/or children living in the home and the space the dog will be cared for in may also be requested prior to the home-check. We are primarily focused on dog placement in the New Jersey and New York areas. Whenever possible we will arrange for mutually agreeable meets and transport if required.
