Pepper's Story

Let’s help Pepper find a new forever home, unfortunately her protective nature is not the right fit for her current family after having 2 children all under the age of 2, they have tried behavioral training and the issue is inside the home where she is being very protective.

Pepper is 5 year old (birth date: 10/3/2020) mutt with brindle coloring. Approximately 80 lbs and is very energetic, playful and loving to those in her inner circle. She is very food motivated, but is not food aggressive. She is spayed, house trained and responds to certain commands (e.g., sit, come, stay, off). She loves to run around outdoors, play fetch and chew balls and other chew toys. She does not chew furniture, shoes or anything other than her toys. She has proven that even the most “indestructible” toys are destructible. She doesn’t go up on furniture unless explicitly permitted and is very comfortable laying on the floor or on her bed.

Pepper gets very excited to go on walks and does tend to pull on her leash. She far prefers running around in a fenced in yard. She also enjoys taking long naps in the middle of the day and loves to get affection from adults in her family.

Pepper is very protective of her home and her family. She can be aggressive towards strangers entering her house (i.e., barks and snaps) and we keep Pepper separated from guests for her comfort and their safety. She has not bitten but does snap to warn of her discomfort. She is not comfortable around children.

Application link below for Meet & Greets
