Pepper's Story
Meet Pepper, a 14-year-old Beagle who is the sweetest combination of snuggly, spunky, and wonderfully independent! Pepper loves everyone he meets-including dogs and kids-and his favorite things are curling up under a blanket, taking cozy naps, enjoying treats, and going for walks (yes, this senior boy can still RUN to the door when he sees his leash!). Pepper is potty trained with a rigorous schedule, and would do best in a home where someone is around often because his favorite place is right beside his people. If you're looking for a loving senior companion who will happily spend his days snuggled next to you, Pepper may be your perfect match!

Potty-Trained: Yes, with a routine.
Behavior towards adults: Good
Behavior towards children: Good
Behavior towards other dogs: Good
Behavior towards cats: Unsure
Crate-trained: Not needed
Stairs: Yes, but takes his time
Medical Concerns & Medication: Arthritis, with possible cataracts
Dasequin, Bravecto and Heartguard

As a rescue organization, we provide all medical care, procedures, and testing that are available to us while the dog is in our care. Adopters are responsible for ongoing preventatives, follow-up veterinary appointments, and any medications as needed after adoption. In some cases, adopters may also be responsible for procedures not completed while in rescue, such as dental cleanings, additional bloodwork, or other recommended care.

Please note that we work with volunteer veterinarians and partner veterinary clinics, and protocols may vary between veterinary offices.

All adopted dogs will receive their rabies and distemper vaccinations prior to adoption.

We offer a $50 adoption fee discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help offset the cost of veterinary exams, vaccinations (rabies and distemper), heartworm testing, spay/neuter surgery (if needed), and any additional medical care specific to each individual dog.

At this time, Grey Face Rescue is unable to adopt outside of Minnesota. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We do not place animals in homes where current pets are not up to date on vaccinations or are not spayed/neutered. Exceptions may be considered for documented medical reasons as provided by a licensed veterinarian. Thank you for supporting our mission to reduce pet overpopulation.

Once your application has been submitted, our Adoption Manager will be in touch. Please be sure to check your spam or junk folder if you do not hear from us within 7-10 days.

Thank you for your interest in adopting a Grey Face senior. We truly appreciate your support.
