Pepper's Story

Meet Pepper

Waiting So Patiently for a Place to Call Home ?

Pepper is a 3.5–4-year-old, 50-pound wiggly, happy girl who’s been overlooked for far too long. She’s been in foster care for nearly two years, and we honestly don’t understand why. She’s loving, loyal, and full of life and all she wants is a family to love her.

Pepper is incredibly dog-social and, once settled, is one of the most solid dogs we’ve seen when meeting other pups. But like many dogs who’ve been through uncertainty, she needs proper decompression and slow introductions to feel truly safe. In a new environment, she tends to be on guard for about three weeks but once she settles in, her sweet and silly personality shines.

And what a personality it is! Pepper is all wiggles and smiles. She loves being around her people and has so much affection to give. She just doesn’t understand why no one’s chosen her yet and honestly, neither do we.

If you can give her a little patience at the beginning, she’ll give you a lifetime of loyalty, joy, and unconditional love.

Pepper is located in Houston, TX, but transport is available and included in her adoption fee.
