Pepper's Story

Pepper is a 4MO Newfoundland puppy. She is about 45lbs currently. She came into rescue through no fault of her own, but she is a bit shy/nervous. She does bark at new people and dogs and will need a home that is understanding and willing to work with her through this slowly and without overwhelming her. She is doing well adjusting to the dogs in her foster home, but she would likely do best with a slightly older dog who isn't going to get in her face too much. She is playful, but at her own pace.

Pepper does love people and she came from a family with small children. So, children who are used to dogs may be a good choice. However, they should be able to take good instruction as to not corner or chase her. She has also lived with cats. She will chase them, but out of fun not fight.

Pepper is still working on house-training, but does seem to keep her crate clean so far (she sleeps in one overnight and is crated when her foster family is out of the house).

If you are interested in being considered for Pepper, please, complete our adoption form found here: http://apply.mnnewfrescue.com/

Not ready to adopt, but you'd like to support our dogs? http://www.ncacharities.org/donate.html
