Meet Penny and don’t be surprised to find out that she was another dog failed by humans! But lucky for her the story has stopped with her NOT being a stray, NOT having puppies that would be unwanted and without a home, and NOT getting run over by a car. Lucky for her she found the Spencer family who reached out to Diamond Dogs Rescue. <br/><br/>When this family saw Penny running in traffic at the Food Lion, all wet, dirty, sad and scared they went to give her water and she jumped in their car! They said she came right up to them giving them non stop kisses. <br/><br/>After taking her home, giving her two baths (which she was great about tolerating) and being fed, she acted like she belonged. So sweet and loving . Friendly and with a cheerful attitude. She immediately did great with their two dogs. Running, playing and wrestling with them! It’s hard to imagine how a dog that was obviously just dumped could be so wonderful with strangers. It’s as if she was just grateful to be picked up and cared for. HOW OFTEN WE HAVE SEEN THAT with dogs that never deserved to be abandoned! Gratitude!
