PENNY the mini pittie 's Story

Meet our little diva, Penny! She is a 1-2 year old pitbull mix who knows she is adorable and has a lot of energy. She is small, currently weighing at 28 lbs, but has a big personality. Penny is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. She was found on the streets during one of the recent snowstorms and has been in a foster home for the last few weeks. She is doing very well with another male pitbull (62 lbs) living in the house and has met other dogs without any issues during her daily walks. Penny has not been cat tested yet as the resident cat is avoiding the dogs at all costs. She seems to be a bit hesitant meeting male people at first but warms up quickly. Penny is very food-motivated (borderline obsessed). She is not food aggressive but she can hardly wait for the food to be put down to start eating. Her food is being offered in a slow feeder bowl and in portions (10 mins apart). Penny is about 90% potty and crate trained. She will follow you around everywhere, likes to sleep next to you on the couch and will shower you with kisses if you let her. She loves to play fetch indoor or outdoor. She initially was not fond of walks but is slowly learning to enjoy them. She will pull a bit on the leash when she figures out that she is on her way back home but she is very manageable. She is a fabulous companion and with a little patience and extra training, she will be a perfect dog.<br/>If you are interested in meeting Penny, please contact Christine at christine@therescueexpress.org
