Penny Sue's Story

Welcome Penny Sue to Stop the Suffering! Penny is a 2-3 year old, 50 lb Pittie/Pointer mix (best guess). Penny was found as a stray in Kentucky and she was lucky enough to find her way to us! She may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Penny is a sweet and super affectionate girl who wants to give you all the kisses and hugs! She loves soft toys and antler chews and wants you to be her full time playmate! She would love to have a playful pup in her forever home, but would do well as an only dog with an active family who can take her for walks, outings and play in the yard. She is a busy gal who likes a busy life! She also does great on a leash.

Penny is initially shy when meeting new people, but warms up quickly and lays for belly rubs or jumps up for a hug (we are working on it!) She sleeps in her foster's bedroom at night with no crate and sleeps all night. She knows how to sit, is quiet and calm in her crate during the day and is housetrained on the right schedule. She doesn't bark or scratch the door to indicate her need to go potty and her foster is still figuring out her tells. She is currently being bell trained to go outside.

She is currently living harmoniously with a doggie friend and 4 cats. She has not yet been around young children, but gets along great with the teenager in her house. Due to her energy level and jumping habits, we recommend a home with kids aged 8+. If you think Penny Sue might be the girl for you, apply today!

Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
