Penny

Penny has endured more than any animal should EVER endure, and yet she fought through it all to survive against all odds...and all with the brightest smile and biggest heart. Penny was run over by a car and her spine was severed in 3 places. After days trying to find someone in Texas that would drive around and help find her (she was last reported seen in Texas, we are in CA/ NY) we FINALLY found our angel that drove for 5 hours in that last reported area and found this little girl, still barley alive. Many emergency vets, medical fosters and transports later, Penny landed in her foster home where she became immediate best friends with another 4 legged that looks exactly like she could be her mama. Minnie was gentle and nurturing eve taught her to swim and jump off the dock! Minnie plays tug of war with her and we thought for the longest time she was just letting penny win....nope! Penny is a sassy lil one and she holds her own! She is a little warrior in her wheels and loves being the social butterfly throughout downtown as the two girls get fawned over. She loves being dressed up, too! Penny just loves to play, get all the love she can and yes- run and dance around more than most! You would never know she was paralyzed, except for seeing those back legs fused as they are, but this girl has the soul and drive of every 4 legged champion! Please consider adopting her bestie, Minnie, too, theyre so sweetly bonded & perfect together! Penny loves everyone and everything- theyre great with all dogs, loves the water and being outdoors, loves all people and is so affectionate!
