Penny's Story

Meet Penny!

Penny is an approx 2 year old, equal parts poodle/maltese/schnauzer mix. She has white/cream/light tan colored fur and weighs around 13 lbs with low to no shedding.

Penny is a sweet girl who has never shown any signs of aggression towards people. She is being fostered with numerous other dogs of all breeds and sizes and would do well in a home with another friendly mellow dog to help her settle in better but it's not mandatory.
She enjoys her walks and being near her person. She can be a little clingy until she feels safe however she has been great overall. Very easy to handle, friendly, not super high energy, enjoys hanging out with the other dogs in the yard or cuddling up on the couch. She does well with her potty outside. Penny is a companion dog who would love an owner who not only wants to spend time with her but will give her the time and patience to let her settle in on her terms.. She would be a great companion for a retired individual or one who works from home etc.

Penny was pulled from a shelter in Modesto by the good folks at Hair of the Dog Rescue. We know she was dumped in an orchard with 3 other dogs however nothing is known about her history prior to that.

If you are interested in meeting this sweet girl, please fill out an application on the link below and a volunteer will get back to you shortly.
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HOTD/Dog
