This one-year-old, fawn coloured chihuahua mix adores her people and will happily follow you from room to room, just to be near you. Penny is always up for a good snuggle!<br/><br/>She’s also a total goofball who loves her toys — squeaky, bouncy, chewable or fluffy (she doesn’t discriminate… every toy is her new favourite!) She’s still young and learning what’s okay to chew (socks can be particularly enticing), so a potential adopters will need to be prepared to work with her on redirecting her attention. Because she’s so smart and highly food motivated, though, she’ll be a natural for learning new things.<br/><br/>Outside, Penny shines. She loves running zoomies in the backyard and is also learning that walks on a leash are actually pretty great, too! Car rides, however, aren’t her favorite just yet and she can get a little nervous. That said, she’s getting better with car adventures: sitting quietly in her booster seat and waiting patiently to arrive at your next adventure.<br/>Penny sleeps soundly in her crate at night and uses it during the day when you’re out or can't keep an eye on her — she’s happy to curl up and nap inside. She’s also housetrained in her foster environment, but may need a little time to learn her new routine in a new home.<br/><br/>Penny would do best as the only dog as she can be a bit unsure of other dog friends and seems to prefer being the centre of attention. She’d be great with respectful, dog-savvy kids and would thrive with a person, couple or family ready to make her part of their daily adventures.<br/>Penny is young, fun, affectionate and full of life. She’ll make you laugh every day and fill your home with love (and a few chew toys scattered around for good measure!).
