Meet Penny, a delightful teenage girl who arrived at the Bakersfield Shelter as a stray alongside her two brothers. Her two brothers left the shelter while Penny continued to wait patiently. She briefly experienced a patient foster home with dog-savvy cats before ASR intervened and brought her to San Diego. <br/><br/>Penny faced a challenge with a previous eye injury that resulted in the loss of one eye, but she is adapting remarkably well, learning to navigate her surroundings with newfound confidence. This energetic pup thrives in an environment with a yard and daily walks, and she gets along well with dogs of all sizes. Penny would flourish in a home with children aged 12 and up who can respect her space, as she can be a bit anxious in unfamiliar situations. 1. Submit Adoption Application Adoption applications for our pups and cats can be found using this link: https://www.amazingstraysrescue.org/forms-applications Please note: puppies are only adoptable to residents of San Diego county. 2. Interview If your application is selected to continue in the adoption process, a volunteer will contact you. 3. Home Check After reviewing your application and phone interview, we will conduct a home check. 4. Meet the Pet The ASR volunteer will help coordinate a play date between you and the foster so you can meet the pet. 5. Pay Fee 6. Sign Adoption Contract Please note: we are a volunteer based rescue and due to the large number of applications we receive, we are unable to respond to each individual applicant.
