Penny's Story

My name is Penny!
I'm a 4 month old Terrier mix and I weigh 22 pounds (I'll probably be about 40 full grown).
I'm a pretty happy girl all around and everyone tells me how adorable I am!
I currently live with my foster mom and dad; their 3 kids, dogs and a cat.
Let me tell you what I think of them, I LOVE the baby, if she cries I just want to cuddle her until she feels better. I love the school age kids too - they love to play with me! My canine foster siblings are great - They love to play with me too.
I really want to play with the cat - I like her - but she's not so playful so I try to let her be.
I'm crate trained, and I'm doing great with my housebreaking.
I will probably need a little direction and maybe some leash training from my new family - but I promise to repay you for all your efforts with tons of puppy kisses.

My foster mom says I can be a little timid, and she also says it's ok to need a couple minutes to warm up to people and sometimes other dogs. She tells me it never hurts to be a little cautious, especially when I'm going to love on them hard when I feel comfortable. It took me a few minutes to warm up to her too.
Sometimes when I hear a loud or different noise, I will run and jump on her lap because I know she will protect me until I am brave enough to check it out myself.

I'm ready to head to New England to find a family of my own!
Bonus if you have kids to love on me - the more the merrier I say!

Think this little ray of sunshine is what you've been missing in your life?
Here is a link to her application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ZIVA/Dog
