Penny's Story

Teeny Tiny

Do you have room in your lap for Penny? This sweet 2 year-old little girl is only 5 lbs but has a big heart and an even bigger love for her people. She’s mostly quiet and gentle, though she’ll let out a bark if the doorbell rings. Penny's easy on leash, enjoys walks, and mostly ignores other dogs, making her a calm companion out and about.

Penny is a bit shy at first, but don’t worry—she warms up quickly and soon turns into a total velcro dog, happily following you from room to room. At night, Penny's favorite place is snuggled under the covers with you. She’s very affectionate and seems especially drawn to small children, so a family with respectful and gentle children could be a good fit.

Penny does fine when left alone, is mostly potty trained, and would do best with a consistent schedule while she adjusts to a new home. She can get anxious in the car, so short trips or patience during travel will help. Despite her tiny size, Penny's surprisingly athletic and can jump quite high.

If you’re looking for a loving, low-key companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, this little girl could be the perfect match.

Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Penny is $300.

If you are interested in adopting Penny, please complete our online adoption application at
https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/

. One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area.

See our other available dogs at
https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/available-dogs/
