Penny's Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by their previous owner on January 31, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Penny is a calm, thoughtful and sensitive gal looking for a loving new home! She can be a bit shy initially and thrives in peaceful surroundings where routines are predictable and voices are kind. She may take a little time to warm up to new people, but patience and consistency go a long way with her. When she trusts you, Penny shows her love through quiet companionship, gentle tail wags and staying close by your side. She also loves play time outdoors with tennis balls and toys. Penny has been known to be selective about her dog friends, so she is not a candidate for dog parks or other off-leash venues - but there are lots of other activities you can do together to strengthen your bond! Slow introductions will be important if you have another dog in the home. She will also do best in a home without cats or small pets, or children under the age of 10. Penny is currently on a hypoallergenic diet to keep her skin healthy, and will need ongoing veterinary care to keep her itch-free. Come speak to an adoption counselor to learn more about sweet Penny today! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. This pet is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: Brown Weight: 53.4lbs Age: 8yrs 6mths 2wks Animal has been Spayed
