Penny's Story

Meet Penny!

Penny is a 4-month-old spayed female Labrador Retriever mix who is looking for her forever family!

Penny can be a little timid when she first meets you, but once she gets comfortable, you'll see her sweet personality really shine. She loves to roughhouse and play with her sister, Goose, but what Penny really wants is to be right by your side, soaking up all the love and attention she can get. She absolutely loves being petted and cuddled once she knows she's safe with you.

Penny is still working on her leash skills, but she is doing wonderfully with her crate! She goes into her kennel very nicely and is crate trained. She will even let you know when she's ready to come back out. Best of all, she is keeping her crate clean throughout the night.

Penny currently has access to a dog door, so she has learned to take herself outside when she needs to go. As with any dog adopted from our foster home, there may be a little bit of a learning curve in a new home. Her new family will need to help her learn how to communicate that she needs to go outside when a dog door isn't available.

Penny is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed, and she is ready to find the family who will love her for a lifetime.

If you're willing to give this sweet, slightly shy little girl the patience, love, and guidance she needs to continue growing into the wonderful dog we know she can be, Penny would love to meet you!

Being fostered in Stevens Point, WI.

Adoption Fee: $350

Apply to adopt here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LPRI/Dog

Learn more about Last Paw Rescue:
https://lastpawrescue.org

Last Paw Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
WI Agricultural License #285589-DSR
