Penny 's Story
Meet Penny!

She is a one year old pittie mix weighing about 50 pounds, and she shares the same sweet nature as her sister Bailey. She came from the same heartbreaking owner surrender situation, and despite the change in her world, she has remained incredibly gentle and loving. Penny is sweet as can be — the kind of dog who leans into you for comfort and soaks up affection once she knows she’s safe. She has never shown an ounce of aggression, only a tender heart that is still learning how to navigate new experiences.

While Bailey may be the outgoing social butterfly, Penny is more of a sensitive soul. She takes life slow and steady, carefully observing before jumping in. She can be a bit of a nervous nelly, but every day she grows braver with consistent reassurance and positive experiences. She absolutely loves affection and is a world-class “Netflix and chill” companion, happiest curled up on the couch beside her people. She’s house trained, crate trained, very smart, and highly food motivated, which has been a wonderful tool in building her confidence.

Penny does amazing with other dogs and would truly benefit from a home with a confident canine companion to help show her the ropes and settle into a new routine. Because she is still working on her confidence, a mostly adult home without young children would be the best fit for her. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and will come with a health certificate prior to adoption. With patience, love, and a steady environment, Penny is going to blossom into the most loyal, devoted companion.

https://www.livefreerescue.com/adoption-application
