She came from the same heartbreaking owner surrender situation, and despite the change in her world, she has remained incredibly gentle and loving. Penny is sweet as can be — the kind of dog who leans into you for comfort and soaks up affection once she knows she’s safe. She has never shown an ounce of aggression, only a tender heart that is still learning how to navigate new experiences.<br/><br/>While Bailey may be the outgoing social butterfly, Penny is more of a sensitive soul. She takes life slow and steady, carefully observing before jumping in. She can be a bit of a nervous nelly, but every day she grows braver with consistent reassurance and positive experiences. She absolutely loves affection and is a world-class “Netflix and chill” companion, happiest curled up on the couch beside her people. She’s house trained, crate trained, very smart, and highly food motivated, which has been a wonderful tool in building her confidence.<br/><br/>Penny does amazing with other dogs and would truly benefit from a home with a confident canine companion to help show her the ropes and settle into a new routine. Because she is still working on her confidence, a mostly adult home without young children would be the best fit for her. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and will come with a health certificate prior to adoption.
