Penny Shepherd Mix Billings, MT

Penny is a sweet shepherd mix pup. She is approximately 7 to 8 months old now. She and her 2 brothers were found at the dump and were very mangy. Both of her brothers are now adopted. She is pretty shy around new people but with time and patience will hopefully learn they are okay. She hides when her foster mom has people come visit so she’ll need time to adjust in her new home and with new people. She loves to play with the other foster dogs. She’s got a bossy side with them at times (probably b/c she needs to stand up for herself with the boys) She’ll also stand up for herself if she’s had enough of them. She will always alert you to ambulances, police and fire trucks coming with her beautiful howl. New things can be scary to a shy puppy. She will sleep in a crate at night but probably would prefer to sleep closer to her foster mom. She loves her treats and is very treat motivated. With time and patience she should adjust to a new environment just fine. She has been to a couple of our adoption events at Petsmart and although timid, she handled being there quite well considering how many people are there and the noise level in the store.

Our puppy adoption fee is $150.00 each and our pups have been spayed/neutered, wormed, vaccinated for kennel cough and have received their first parvo/distemper shot. We require a fenced yard or if you live in the country safe acreage for exercise. Our dogs must be allowed in their family home and be allowed to sleep inside at night. At adoption you will be required to complete and sign an adoption contract.
