Penny's Story

Penny is a beautiful girl that was saved last minute from being put to sleep at a rural shelter. We took one look at those gorgeous eyes and magical ears and knew we had to save her. She got adopted and was in a home that absolutely adored her for a couple months. Sadly, there was an incident where she was overly excited and accidentally scratched a neighborhood child. This caused a huge ruckus with the neighbors and her family decided to bring her back for her safety. She is in desperate need of another family, as she isn't doing well back here in the shelter. Please consider coming to meet our darling Penny.

Castaways Animal Shelter and Sanctuary's Adoption Policy

All of our adopters are screened and matched to the correct animal to ensure a good fit for both the family and the pet. All of our animals are Spay/Neutered, microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccines and monthly preventative. Our adoption fees are $85 on cats, $150 for puppies and $125 for dogs over 5 months, with an occasional All Star Pet that will have a slightly higher fee.
