Penelope's Story

Meet Penelope! This foxy little lady is one of the sweetest pups ever! She loves to snuggle and be a couch potato but she is also curious. We’ve had company over and she does very well, requesting that everyone pay her attention and pay their love tax. She is very velcro and will be stuck to you like glue so you are never lonely. Little Penelope is looking for a second chance at forever, we are hoping one of you are interested in making her a member of your family!

Name: Penelope
Age: 3-4 Years Old
Sex: Female
Breed: Chihuahua/Pomeranian Mix
Weight: 10 lbs
Located In: Shepherdsville, KY
Temperament/ Energy Level: Medium Energy
Recommendation for Kids: Not tested but older calmer we assume would be fine
Relationship with Dogs: Yes
Relationship with Cats: Not tested
Neutered/ Spayed: Yes
Crate Trained: In Progress
House Trained: In Progress
Leash Trained: In Progress
Fence Required: Preferred not required

PLEASE NOTE: To apply to adopt, the application and adoption process can be found on our website https://www.kyhopefulpaws.com/adopt.

Please read dog's bio carefully before applying.

We will reach out to you with any questions, or if your application is approved. You must FULLY COMPLETE the adoption application. We cannot process incomplete applications. All current pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations, flea, tick, and heartworm preventative, and must be spayed or neutered. If you have extenuating health circumstances with a pet, please note on your application and provide a letter from your veterinarian with an explanation. Please note: due to the high volume of applications we receive, we cannot reach out to those whose applications are incomplete or are not approved. Please note: this application does not guarantee approval of your application or placement of a dog into your home. Some dogs will receive several applications and others only a few. It may be a number of weeks before you hear back regarding your application. Please be patient as we are trying to work through applications as quickly as possible.
