Peggy's Story

*We will not be hosting adoption events on Saturday, December 27 and January 3. We are offering private adoption appointments to pre-approved applicants December 22-January 4. Happy Holidays!*

Meet Peggy! Peggy is a happy, affectionate girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s playful, goofy, and endlessly devoted to her people — the kind of dog who wants to be part of everything you’re doing, whether that’s hanging out at home or enjoying an active day together. She would thrive with engagement, companionship, and opportunities to play and be her fun-loving self. She’s tolerant, social, and genuinely lights up when other dogs are around. Once she has canine friends, she’s all about romping, wiggling, and showing off her silly side. Peggy does wonderfully with children, gets along well with other dogs, and is even respectful around cats — though she finds them a little intimidating and prefers to admire them from a safe distance. Peggy is well-mannered in the home, eager to please, and a quick learner who truly wants to make her people happy. If you’re looking for a cheerful, playful companion with a goofy streak and a deep desire to be your best friend, Peggy may be the perfect addition to your life. She’s ready for a home that will embrace her enthusiasm, laugh at her antics, and enjoy all the love she has to give.

Peggy is a 1.5-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $600 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Peggy is also tested with other dogs, cats, children, and potty and kennel trained. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home.

The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.

Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).

For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned.

Thank you for choosing adoption!
