Peg Leg Pete's Story
Meet Pegleg Pete – A Big Heart on Three Strong Legs - Transport Available Nationwide

People sometimes notice my missing leg first. Then they notice my wagging nub tail, my gentle eyes, and how much I love them, and they forget all about it.

My name is Pegleg Pete, and I'm a young German Shepherd and Cattle Dog mix. After I was hit by a car, my broken leg healed improperly and caused me a lot of trouble. The vets decided amputation would give me the best quality of life, and they were right. Today I'm running, playing, and having the time of my life.

My calm and gentle demeanor helped save me when I was once facing euthanasia, and that same sweet nature is what my foster family loves most. I get along with kids, other dogs, and pretty much everyone.

I'm leash trained and kennel trained, so I'm ready to join your family. I'm happiest when I'm hanging out with my people, and I'll be a loyal, loving friend for life.

Pegleg Pete is fully vetted and ready to go.
