She is 14 months old and weighs 35 lbs. She is truly a survivor and is an amazing pup. Personality: Pebbles is a sweet, loving girl with a playful puppy spirit! She can be cautious when meeting new dogs at first, but once she warms up, she absolutely loves to romp and play. She doesn’t quite realize her size and enthusiasm can be a bit much for smaller dogs—but it’s all in fun! She loves kids of all ages, but again with her size she probably would do best with older kids. Pebbles loves her humans deeply and may act protective when strangers approach... even though she’s secretly afraid of her own shadow Background: Pebbles had a very rough start in life and did not receive proper vet care early on. Sadly, her siblings did not survive, but Pebbles is a true survivor who beat the odds. Although as a puppy, she was given a very small chance of surviving, every single day she thrived more and more. She never gave up and neither did we!!! After a year in foster care, she’s now ready for the amazing life she deserves. Energy Level: High – adventurous, playful, and loves exploring! Although she loves to run around and play, she also thrives hanging on the couch with her head in your lap, snoring happily. Special Needs / Health: Pebbles is listed as special needs due to a neurological-related eating issue. She does great but needs to be monitored and fed smaller food. She is a bit of an overeater, so food needs to be limited or she will eat until she is ready to bust. She has been seen through her young life by several Veterinarians, including a specialist. The testing ruled out issues with her esophagus, and the final diagnosis was more of a neurological-related eating issue. This does not slow her down, nor affect her quality of life and is manageable. Ideal Home: A loving home where she gets plenty of attention and isn’t left alone for long periods. She’ll thrive with an active family ready to give her love and structure.
