Meet PEARL

**Available Aug 10th**
Pearl is the face of animal rescue. Sweet and loving despite suffering through sorrow, pain, and almost being thrown away before Dolly’s Legacy stepped in.

Pearl loves her people and time on the couch cuddling with them. All you have to do is wave her over and she gladly hops up, puts her right paw on your leg, and looks up at you like “can I please give you a kiss to say thanks?”

Pearl was on the euthanasia list at a Texas shelter because she was an absolute mess. Mange, multiple infections, and multiple types of worms including the dreaded heartworms. But we could see past her pain and somehow her inner beauty still managed to shine through and she was saved. She was then transported to Lincoln where all her medical issues were addressed. Pearl now she feels like a new girl and the love and happiness flow. She is wrapping up her heartworm treatment now and will be available for adoption in early August.

After all this Pearl still have a sense of controlled joy that is evident via the wagging tail and eagerness to please. Pearl meets new people well, can take or leave other dogs, and enjoys a cat chase if there is one to pursue. While she would rather be outside snooping or on the couch cuddling, she is content to chew on a bone and asks to go outside when the time comes. Pearl is good on the leash after a couple minutes and a light reminder that she doesn’t control the pace. She is house trained and goes to the door when needed. Pearl is a beautiful all-white female Terrier/SharPei mix. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, Pearl is undergoing life-saving treatment for heartworm disease. She will need to remain on heartworm preventative for life, as is recommended for ALL dogs, and retested in 6 months to ensure she is heartworm free.Adoption fee is $300 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs.
