Pearl's Story

*Currently fostered in Olney, MD and available for a Foster-To-Adopt*

Meet Pearl! Our Texas foster, fosters 100’s of dogs and when she tells us that a dog is PERFECT, we know it’s a special dog. She tells us that Pearl is wonderful in so many ways and whomever adopts her will be super lucky. She’s super obedient and so loving. She loves everyone both humans and submissive dogs but she is not a fan of cats. Her breed is our best guess, spaniel mix? Poodle mix with the scruff? Pittie/poodle? Fluffy boxer?? Who knows but she’s adorable! Pearl is approx. 1-2 years old, 55.5lbs and spayed.

She absolutely adores kids and is very respectful about not jumping on you. After a good play session, she’s ready to just lay down and relax. She is 100% crate-trained and somewhat house-trained. Pearl needs structure or she will act like a typical pre-teen and do what she wants, when she wants. Give her rules, and she'll respect your home.

Pearl is currently living in a home with no backyard and we have determined that Pearl's ultimate home is one with a yard. She needs her space to do zoomies. She has also been attending professional training sessions with our friends at 4 on the Floor in Rockville, MD and she'd love to continue with training as she craves learning new things.

Pearl is looking for a foster or adopter in DC, MD, or VA. We also adopt to bordering cities of these states. If you’re interested in fostering Pearl, please head on over to https://www.foreverchangedar.org/foster-a-pet to apply now.

If you think she might stay at your home forever, please apply at https://www.foreverchangedar.org/adopt-a-pet

*Pearl is heartworm positive which is a non-transmissible blood parasite contracted by mosquitoes and easily prevented by giving monthly heartworm prevention. Her treatment will be completely paid for and treated by FCAR. Please email us at ForeverChangedAR@gmail.com with any questions about heartworms.
