Pearl's Story

Pearl is an approximate 5-month-old, 25 lb., female, Staffordshire Terrier mix. Pearl was dropped off at a shelter in Oklahoma with an infection on her head and very malnourished. She quickly turned the corner after being given a nutritious diet and lots of love. Pearl has a big personality wrapped up in a soft, snuggly package! Due to her vibrant, enthusiastic personality a family that can help guide her into new experiences with supervision and training will be best for her. Pearl loves other dogs and cats but can sometimes be a little too playful for some dogs. Pearl is working on house training, leash training, and kennel training. Pearl may take a little time to build confidence, but when that tail starts wagging, you know you’ve made a best friend for life. She has the perfect mix of sass and sweetness. She has met little kids and is working on not jumping up so basic training skills will need continued work. Pearl was recently adopted to a family with small children and played too rough, so she was returned. She will do best with older children that are dog savvy.

If you are interested in meeting Pearl, please complete an online application at https://hopeanimalrescueofiowa.duplie.com/forms/196/dog-application

Adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.
