Pear's Story

Hi, I'm Pear! I am a sweet dog looking for my forever home. Could that be with you?

My foster dad tells me I am a handsome and distinguished gentleman - have you seen my beautiful grey whiskers? I might be a little older than a puppy, but that doesn't stop me! I love to go for long walks with my human. Sometimes we will even walk for 2 miles. Also, I might get a little excited around other animals when I am on my leash, but we are working on that! I generally like to stay close to my person. I love exploring our yard, and I really love to follow you around while we are outside. Can I tell you what my favorite thing to do is? I LOVE to roll around in the grass! It feels fantastic! My foster dad calls me a total ham while I roll around because I get so silly - its so much fun!

When I am not enjoying a good walk or a roll in the grass, I also like a little down time. I am a sucker for a good nap. My foster dad says I am VERY motivated by food - I LOVE chicken (who doesn't?), but I really don't like those green things called vegetables. I also do really well with a routine when it comes to meals, potty breaks, and bedtime. I caught onto my foster family's work schedule very quickly, and I don't have separation anxiety when they leave. But, I am very happy to greet them when they come home! My ideal home would include a yard (I need to roll around everyday!), and also a home where I am the only pet.

Please submit an application if I sound like the right fit for you. I would love to meet you!

All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
