Pear's Story
Pear is a sweet 14-year-old who was surrendered by her owner to Chesterfield Square Shelter. When she ran out of time at the shelter, she became a Frosted Face. Weighing 21 lbs., she is calm, gentle, and friendly with everyone she meets - people, kids, and other dogs alike.

Since arriving at Frosted Faces Foundation, Pear has gone on two Frosted Field Trips with volunteers and recently returned from a two-week Frosted Fling. She earned rave reviews from all three homes!

Her Fling Mom reports:

"Pear LOVES food. Wet food, mixed-in kibble, soft treats - she's all in. Limited teeth? No problem. She needed about three days to settle into our home, but after that, no accidents, and she used potty pads. She also loves to sleep peacefully outside of a crate.

Pears loves neighborhood strolls and even went on two-mile hikes and a trip to PetSmart! She gets especially bouncy and excited before meals and after dinner walks. She also enjoyed enrichment like lick mats and food puzzles. Occasionally, she has cute bursts of play, like tail-chasing or toy time.

Pear is good with small dogs, but would prefer a home without cats. She loves people and even the groomer! She's a tad hard of hearing, but responds to claps.

A day in the life of Pear included waking up with excitement, taking a morning walk (she likes multiple-potty-stop walks!), meals she happily devours, long naps in her comfy bed, enrichment breaks, an evening walk, and finally, bedtime after one more quick potty break."

If you love gentle strolls, cozy nights, and a sweet senior who will celebrate every meal with joy, Pear might be your perfect match!

To meet this special girl, please email: placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
