Peanutbutter's Story

Peanut Butter is a very sweet 3-year-old boy with a good temperament. He is just as happy snuggling on the couch or dog cot as he is running and romping with the other dogs. He is a follower, when everyone wants to play he’s ready to play; if everyone wants to chill and snuggle, he’s ready to snuggle. He can be a bit shy but warms up to people and most dogs pretty quick. As he has come out of his shell, we are starting to see some of his fun personality corks, typical of most fox hounds.

Peanut Butter has gotten better with big dogs while he has been here, but would be happiest with dogs around his size. He does well with dogs, but can be picky so a meet and greet with any other dogs in the home would be a must. Good with kids 10 and up, unsure on cats. A 6’ privacy fence would be best for him as he can climb.

Peanut Butter is on medication for idiopathic epilepsy.
We require that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments. We also require that the adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home. Our adoption process may be found on our website at www.bitofheaven.org

Visits are scheduled by appointment only via emailing request to ownedbycaninesandlovit@yahoo.com
