Peanut's Story
My name is Peanut....and LOOK AT ME NOW!! What a little survivor, or shall we say, a victim of blind neglect? Our work in the underserved communities bring us face to face with animals that are in difficult situations. Back in July we came in contact with a woman who had multiple animals. For whatever the reason, Peanut was suffering in plain sight, unbeknownst to her owner. "Take her" we were challenged...and we did. It has been a long road for Peanut. She had a horrific skin condition, she was half the weight she is now ( 8lbs now, she was 4lbs upon rescue) and she anemic. Today, Peanut is healthy and happy. She is all tuned up and ready to continue her journey. She loves all people she meets, she loves dogs, cats and LIFE. We are so happy for her, happy to see her happy. Peanut is adorable. She is quite the lap dog and has lots of fun energy. She is feeling well and no longer in survival mode, she is living. We estimate Peanut to be around 2-3 years old. She is smaller in size, 8lbs. We think Peanut is mostly Shih Tzu/Terrier mix with a dash of perhaps Maltese or Poodle? The perfect combo! She has soulful little eye and a cute underbite. This gal will bring much happiness, love and cuteness in to her home. If you are interested in adopting Peanut, $200 adoption donation, an application is a must: https://povertyspets.org/application/. Once received, you will be contacted within 72 hours. An application is required. Thank you!
