Peanut is our sweet, adorable little guy who may be small in size but has a heart full of love to give. He’s a low-energy companion who simply loves being held and needs a person he can trust and be by their side at all times. Once he picks his person, Peanut sticks to them like glue, offering unconditional loyalty and affection. While Peanut is working on his marking, belly bands are helping him through his training, and he thrives on routines, especially when it comes to mealtime—he absolutely loves his food! He has so much love to give, and he’s just waiting for the right person to nurture that love and keep his sweet spirit alive. Peanut does well in a kennel, but he would truly thrive in a home where he can be out and about with his owner, enjoying daily activities together. Though small, Peanut has a big personality and tends to get a little possessive of his owner—after all, in his eyes, he’s the top dog! Peanut is ready to leave the shelter behind and be showered with love and care in the arms of his forever companion. Could you be the one to offer him the home and love he so deserves?<br/><br/>Quick Facts:<br/><br/>Peanut: @ 8 years old - neutered - up-to-date on vaccinations - does well with other dogs but does not play (that we have seen yet) - is full grown at 14 pounds (a little chunky for his size) - Will have missing hair on his behind and neck, due to neglect - He will need a teeth cleaning and some teeth pulled (within the next year) due to his neglect.
