Peanut 's Story
Peanut comes from a litter of 10. He was left, days old, motherless, in a box with his siblings, in Laredo. Based on when he opened his eyes, and started getting his teeth, he was born right around the December 1st, 2025. Named "Peanut" because when he first came to us, after bottle feeding, his little belly would get so round, he looked like a peanut. Peanut was the runt of the litter but quickly caught up to his siblings in size. Peanut is incredibly sweet and very smart! He loves human interaction! If he can't get human hugs and kisses then he will settle for romping around with his siblings. However, Peanut can often be found relaxed, in a corner, napping. He will be a loving, loyal companion to his human. Peanut's submissive personality will make him an easy pup to train as he is eager to please. Peanut is good with other dogs and does not currently show any food aggression.
DNA testing has been sent in on this litter of 10 puppies. We are currently awaiting the results. We will update ASAP. Based on their age & current weight, their fully grown weight is guessed to be approximately 35 to 50 lbs. Their breed is currently guessed to be heeler mix.
Heeler dogs (Australian Cattle Dogs) are exceptionally smart, energetic, loyal, and protective herding dogs needing constant physical and mental challenges; they thrive with active owners who can provide training, early socialization, and lots of activity to prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. They are tenacious "Velcro dogs" who can bond closely with family.
Peanut has received his dewormer and is receiving his vaccinations. Before adoption he will be microchipped. It is mandatory that all dogs adopted through Miniwonders Adoptions are spayed and neutered.
If you're interested in adorable, sweet Peanut, please fill out the application.
