Our ADOPTION application is found at www.seniorhearts.org/how-to-adopt
Completing this application is the first step in our adoption screening process. You MUST complete the application in its entirety in order to be considered as a potential adopter. Please select "More About Us" for further details on our adoption requirements. You can meet a dog ONLY after we have completed our adoption approval process.
We look forward to receiving your application in hopes that you are able to meet our adoption requirements and provide this dog with a loving furever home.
And now a few words from Peanut...
I am 11 years young and weigh about 7 pounds. I'm a healthy young man!
I'm a funny little guy with a big personality. I think it's a chi thing. I like going on walks and getting all the sniffs in. When I decide I've gone far enough, I put the brakes on. There is no making me go anywhere at that point. So you will have to be prepared to carry me the rest of the walk!
I like other dogs my size. I like them so much that I require at least one other small dog in my adoptive home.
I am a social butterfly. I'm the star of every event I attend. I like to mingle and meet everyone. I'm an easy going guy. Not much bothers me. I'm confident in new situations and meeting new people and new dogs my size. After all, I am a very good boy.
I do appreciate the humans that love and care for me. I will promise to be your loyal little buddy if you adopt me. I'm generally quiet when left alone. But I do cry like a baby with excitement when I see my leash or my dinner bowl!
I am in good health. I am house trained and crate trained. I'm looking for an home where I will get the walks I require and in which the humans will laugh at my funny self.
I can be adopted within a two-hour radius of Pittsburgh, PA. If you are interested in giving me a furever home, you must first complete the adoption application at
