Peanut's Story

Hi, my name is Peanut! I'm a laidback, affectionate pup who loves snuggling, going for walks, riding in the car, soaking up the sun, and relaxing with my people. I'm looking for my forever home where I can get lots of love and attention-I truly thrive on human connection.

I get along well with cats and small dogs, and with slow introductions, I can be friends with large dogs too. One of my favorite daily activities is sitting and waiting for the school bus so the kids can pet me and shower me with affection-I love being admired!
Soft, plush toys make the perfect pillow for my head, and I also enjoy a good, sturdy chew toy to keep me entertained. I'm currently a little overweight, but I'm excited to get back to a healthier, slimmer figure with the right care and exercise.

I can be protective of the person I bond with, but I warm up quickly once I know there's no threat. I do have hip dysplasia and experienced a partial tear of my left cranial cruciate ligament about 3 years ago, but with regular medication, it doesn't slow me down-I'm still an active and happy dog.

Fireworks and thunderstorms can make me nervous, so I do best with someone nearby to reassure me during loud events. I'm cratetrained, leashtrained, and know my basic commands, though I can get a little overexcited in large crowds and may forget my manners. With patience, consistency, and guidance, I know I can continue to improve.

If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with lots of love to give, I might just be your perfect match.

Peanut is participating in the iRehome program. All iRehome dogs are being rehomed by their current owner. All iRehome behavioral and medical information is provided by the dog's current owner. TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with the current owner prior to completing the adoption process.
