Peanut's Story

Meet Peanut a 2-3 year old chihuahua found as a stray in the desert and who made it was to us and into a foster home before the holidays. He is calm and submissive, he just wants to be held and loved. Peanut is low maintenance, a walk around the block will tire him out for hours. He’s learning to play and he is smart! He will go in the crate when he wants to on his own. Very food motivated helps with the basic training. He’s learned to walk on the leash quickly with the help from his foster sister Izzy. He is working on house training and doing well with no accidents since the first day!

He’s very nervous around bigger dogs but is great with ours and smaller dogs we run into on walks. No sign of aggression he hasn't barked yet, he is quiet and not destructive in the home.

He would be great as an only dog or with another established dog in the home to continue to learn the ropes! He is very friendly and will go up to people gladly but has been wary of kids but we think he would be okay with them if respectful!

Please consider giving Peanut his forever home!!
